Valencia Basket opens its acb quarterfinals Playoff vs. Bitci Baskonia at La Fonteta
Valencia Basket opens its Liga Endesa quarterfinals series facing game 1 against Bitci Baskonia at La Fonteta (Tuesday 24, 9:00 p.m., Fonteta, #Vamos) in a game that represents the reissue of last season's quarterfinals.
The Taronja squad will try to assert that home court advantage achieved after finishing the Regular Season in third position and keeping open a winning streak at home that is already ten wins in the Liga Endesa.
For this Valencia Basket will have the absence of the long-term injured Klemen Prepelic and is questionable how much point guard Martin Hermannsson can contribute, after the Icelandic has already partially joined team-practices after being away from the courts since last May 4.
The one that begins tomorrow will be the seventh time that these two teams meet in a Playoff tie, with a balance that is favorable to the team from Vitoria by 2-4. And Bitci Baskonia already knows what it means to win this season at La Fonteta, by winning the acb Regular Season game by 67-72.
Although the most recent precedent in the Playoff, also in the quarterfinals and with the home court advantage for the taronja squad, was resolved in favor of Valencia Basket in the third game of the series.
